Terms of Service

1. Rates & How We Work

• Minimum: 1-hour minimum, then billed in 15-minute increments, plus any materials to complete.
• Commercial Site Surveys: $85/hour + $50 Service Run.
• Standard Rates: $85/hour + $50 Service Run + materials.
• Emergency Rates: $150/hour + $66 Service Run + materials.
• Holiday Rates: $185/hour + $66 Service Run + materials.
• Drive Time: Charged for time beyond 20 minutes from our office.
• Toll Fee: $30 per day, per job, per technician if incurred (e.g., Indiana bridge).
• Payment by Card: 3% processing fee.
• Returned Checks: $108 surcharge.
• Portal Upload Fee: 2% fee per work order, invoice, or communication that requires uploading to a customer portal.

2. Payment Terms

• Deposits for Large Jobs: For jobs estimated over $4,000, or when materials/equipment account for 40% or more of the total job cost, a 50% deposit (or the total cost of materials, whichever is greater) is required at approval to schedule.
• Material Deposits: For materials provided by KR Nova Handyman LLC exceeding $1,000, a deposit equal to the full material cost is required upon estimate approval.
• Residential Clients: Payment due at the end of each workday.
• Late Payment: 2% per month on overdue balances.
• Payment & Warranty: Delayed or incomplete payment voids any warranties.

3. Estimates

• Estimates are usually for labor only and do not include materials unless specified.
• Quotes are valid for 30 days; a new quote is required after expiration.
• All changes to an estimate or scope of work must be in writing and initialed by the Customer.

4. Warranty

• KR Nova Handyman LLC provides a 1-year (365 days) warranty on labor only.
• Excludes materials, manufacturer failures, negligence, normal wear and tear, acts of God, customer modifications, or listed exclusions.
• Warranty claims require the original invoice.
